Why We're Here
The mission of 500Faces is to call people's attention to treasured family photos in their possession, educate them on the ways they can preserve these images digitally, and to motivate them to preserve this family history for future generations. Participants will also share insights about the photos and the Faces to enhance their value to others.
Why It Matters
Millions of people can be found on genealogy sites worldwide. How many of them have photographs attached so that we can associate a Face with a name? With the declining interest of younger generations in wanting to store and preserve physical assets, now is an ideal time to curate and document your families' most important memories and ensure those Faces are preserved. As these physical assets can fade or deteriorate over the years, now is the time to complete this work.
